Non-Dairy Delicious Shakes

Even if you are not dairy intolerant, you can still enjoy the delights of these wonderful alternatives and they make a tasty shake with a difference too. Rich in good fats, fruits and oats. They are a great, on the go, breakfast alternative for fighting the Christmas bulge. 

In our lovely Wellington Farm Shop, here on the Wellington Estate, we stock the wonderful Rude Health drinks. They have come up with some absolutely fabulous recipes we just know you will love!

ALMOND BANANA SMOOTHIE

Ingredients

500ml Rude Health Ultimate Almond Drink or Cashew Drink
2 tablespoon almond butter
4 tablespoon oats
2 bananas
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Honey to taste
2/3 cubes of ice

Method

  1. Pick your favourite drink and measure out 400ml.
  2. Slice 2 bananas and put them into the blender.
  3. Add 4 tablespoons of smoothie oats and 2 tablespoons of almond butter.
  4. Add 2 or 3 cubes of ice, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and honey to taste.
  5. Pour in the cashew/ultimate almond drink.
  6. Blend and serve.
  7. Top with cacao nibs or whatever takes your fancy.
  8. Enjoy.


BEETROOT LATTE

Ingredients

200ml Rude Health Coconut Drink
1 tsp of beetroot powder
Pinch of ground ginger

Method

  1. Make the beetroot blend by measuring out 1 teaspoon of beetroot powder and a pinch with ground ginger. Add a splash of Coconut Drink. Mix into a paste.
  2. Measure out 200ml of Coconut Drink into a pan and heat gently on the hob.
  3. Gradually add the beetroot paste and then froth with a handheld frother.
  4. Serve and enjoy.

 

GOLDEN MILK

Ingredients

400ml Rude Health Almond DrinkBrown Rice Drink or dairy milk
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp ginger powder
pinch of cayenne pepper
a sprinkling of black pepper

Method

  1. Measure 400ml of Rude Health Almond Drink or Brown Rice Drink.
  2. Add 2 teaspoons of ground turmeric, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, a pinch of cayenne pepper and a sprinkling of black pepper.
  3. Heat gently and stir.
  4. Froth with a handheld frother.
  5. Serve and enjoy.
